Emerging From the Mire
Jul. 12th, 2020 08:01 pmI made it a few posts in after a fresh start... then took a year hiatus!
Hello, again, Dream Width! What a wild year last year was. Heck, what a CRAZY INSANE wild year THIS year has been already!
For a few updates, I had ended up fully transferring from my what was my current job to this new state, but I have still been job hunting ever since. I've re-worked my resume so many times, I've lost count. Was very hopeful at the start of this year, but then the pandemic hit. And a lot has to be said for what the energy-sapping reality of being a manager on the front end of a mostly grocery retail store IS. My uncle passed, my last surviving grandparent passed. I hurt my lower back really badly and had to keep working. No sit-down job here, my friends! But I'm finally starting to come out of the energy drain that the past 4-5 months has been. Just in time, I suppose, as I currently live in one of the states where Covid-19 cases are sky-rocketing.
Last year, I felt far more productive. I started reading and studying the PMBOK, worked heavily on a couple of my stories, re-worked and coded a couple of my personal webpages. I also started editing fellow writer's scripts and stories. A LOT. Those went on hiatus as well, as I adjusted to all the radical changes of the last few months. I'm feeling the bug biting again, though.
I want to art, craft, sew, write again. Most of that time has gone to sewing face masks for myself, family, and friends. But, BOY, do I want to make some BJD clothes!
All in good time~
And, I mean this isn't the all of it, of course. Just a smattering of this and that to get me moving past and looking at the future for new postings.
Until next time~!
